Apple Nachos Ingredients
To make this recipe, you will need apples, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, mini chocolate chips and sprinkles.
How Do You Make Apple Nachos?
Arrange your sliced apples on a large plate. Drizzle the caramel sauce and chocolate sauce over the top. Add some rainbow sprinkles and mini chocolate chips, then serve immediately and enjoy.

Tips For The Perfect Snack
- This recipe is best when served right away , as the apples can brown if they sit out for a long period of time.
- I like to use a combination of tart and sweet red and green apples . Some of my favorite varieties include Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji apples and Braeburn apples.
- You can use a spoon to drizzle the sauces over the apples, or for a fancier look, use a disposable piping bag . If your sauces are really thick, melt them for a few seconds in the microwave before use.
- Miniature chocolate chips work best because the larger ones can fall off of the apple slices. Most stores carry the mini chips in the same area as the rest of the chocolate chips and baking products.
- Feel free to use your favorite brand of caramel and chocolate sauce . I typically go for a hot fudge style chocolate sauce rather than chocolate syrup. The flavor is better and it’s thick enough to adhere to the apples.
Quick Tip
You can use any sprinkles you happen to have on hand, or find some Halloween or Thanksgiving color sprinkles if you’re serving these apple nachos at a fall party.

Apple slices pair well with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce, as well as vanilla Greek yogurt, melted peanut butter, butterscotch sauce or even a cream cheese fruit dip .
There are a few ways to keep your apple slices from turning brown. One option is to cut them up to 4 hours in advance, and keep them submerged in water with one tablespoon of lemon juice added to it. Another option is to soak the apples in lemon lime soda.

Flavor Variations
This recipe is great as-is, but you can easily customize the ingredients to suit your tastes.
- Fruit: Instead of apples, try using sliced firm pears, pineapple wedges, strawberries or even grapes.
- Sauces: Swap out the chocolate and caramel sauce for melted peanut butter, honey, almond butter, marshmallow sauce, butterscotch sauce or magic shell .
- Toppings: Feel free to add other toppings such as chopped almonds, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, crushed up candy bars like peanut butter cups, dried cranberries, toffee bits, mini marshmallows, granola, raisins, mini M&M’s or coconut.
These caramel apple nachos are a great way to jazz up back to school snacking for all ages. They’ve even fun for birthday parties or classroom events! Regardless of how you serve these apple nachos, you’ll be sure to have happy kids (and adults love ’em too!).
